The Logan Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Wayne Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Logan suffered a rough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Chapmanville Regional.
Meanwhile, Wayne can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over Sissonville on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wayne.
Wayne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Fisher Fry led the charge by throwing for 173 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Jaxson Damron and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Wayne's win.
Chapmanville Regional's win bumped their season record to 4-4 while Logan's loss dropped theirs to 1-7.
Everything went Logan's way against Wayne in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 as Logan made off with a 31-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Logan since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
