There's no place like home for the Norland Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 62-54 victory over Miami on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Norland, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Marcus Allen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Norland's points. Caleb Clarke was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The win got Norland back to even at 1-1. As for Miami, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norland won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pine Forest at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Pine Forest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 504th, while Norland is ranked 198th). As for Miami, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
