The Silverton Owls lost against the Valley Patriots back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Silverton lost to the Patriots at home by a decisive 48-29 margin. It was the first time this season that Silverton let down their fans at home.
Trinity Schlueter was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven steals and five rebounds for Valley. That makes it three consecutive games in which Schlueter has scored at least a third of Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Laney Edwards, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Silverton's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Valley, the victory (which was their 28th in a row) raised their record to 28-2.
Silverton will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bucks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Claude will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 798th, while the Patriots are ranked 88th).
