On Friday, St. Joseph Regional came up short against St. Mary and fell 53-44.
Despite the loss, St. Joseph Regional had strong showings from Chaz Gray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Jahmir Joseph, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Nate Bailey was another key contributor, scoring two points along with two steals.
St. Joseph Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for St. Mary, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Regional will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Tenafly at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully St. Joseph Regional is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in New Jersey (they are ranked 34th, while Tenafly is ranked 108th). As for St. Mary, they will head out on the road to challenge Leonia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary is facing Leonia at the right time seeing as Leonia is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
