It may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Sterling ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   10-5  win over the Platte Valley Broncos. With that  victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
 Memphis Dempcy made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Dayten DiOrio was  incredible,  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in May of 2024.  Casyn Nolan also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Sterling's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Platte Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sterling is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Weld Central  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Platte Valley will  take on  rival University  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
