The Minersville Battlin' Miners lost against the North Schuylkill Spartans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Monday. Minersville took a  47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Schuylkill. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Minersville in their matchups with North Schuylkill: they've now lost four in a row.
 Several Battlin' Miners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Dante Carr, who  scored 12 points along with 3  steals. Carr scored a full 33.3% of Minersville's points, the second time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Lorenzo Yourey, who  scored 10 points along with 5  rebounds.
 North Schuylkill was led to victory by  Jack Keiter and  Zane Zulkowski.  Keiter  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and 10  rebounds, while  Zulkowski  scored 19 points along with 5  rebounds and 5  steals.  Fernando Rivera was another key contributor,  scoring 5 points.
 Minersville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Schuylkill, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minersville won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Mount Carmel at 7:30  p.m.  on December 5th. As for North Schuylkill, they will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against Tamaqua at 7:00  p.m. Hopefully Tamaqua focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
