Basketball Recap: Clay Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Clay had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 35-24 victory over the Bowling Green Bobcats on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-35 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emilia Henneman-Dallape, who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the most points Henneman-Dallape has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Toth, who put up 11 points.

Clay's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Bowling Green, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Clay will venture away from home to square off against Napoleon at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Napoleon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bowling Green, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastwood at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Bowling Green is facing Eastwood at the right time seeing as Eastwood is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
