Softball Recap: James Island Has No Trouble Against Timberland

James Island barely beat Timberland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 11-1 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kendall Wharton, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Josie Nance was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

James Island's record is now 7-11. As for Timberland, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James Island will take on Ashley Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Timberland, they will face off against Charleston Math & Science at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
