The Andrew Jackson Tigers and the Raines Vikings squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Andrew Jackson Tigers had to settle for second. Andrew Jackson was beaten by Raines 42-2. Andrew Jackson just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Raines' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mark Miller, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Jayden Taylor made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Andrew Jackson bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Raines, Baker County, and Riverside. As for Raines, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Andrew Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Raines will play host again and welcome Bolles, where kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bolles is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
