Mountain Heritage's batters probably weren't too happy with Griffin Stephens, who pitched a no hitter and racked up seven Ks (he gave up a single walk). Stephens has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jacob Mull was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Draughn is undefeated when Mull posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chase Yambor, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Draughn lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Draughn pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain Heritage, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-11.
As of now, neither Draughn nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
