South Lenoir never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs 19-0. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Gage Howard, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jake Howard, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: South Lenoir kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

South Lenoir has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Lenoir will challenge North Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will square off against James Kenan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
