After a dominant win in their matchup last Friday, Hazard were humbled on Friday. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 27-33 to Pikeville. If Hazard were expecting to get some payback for the 9-14 loss against Pikeville the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat dropped Hazard's record to 3-2. The victory bumped Pikeville's record up to 4-2.
Hazard will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Phelps. Pikeville will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Phelps at Phelps in two weeks at 7:30 PM.
