Sanger has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The San Joaquin Memorial Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sanger knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully San Joaquin Memorial likes a good challenge.
Sanger can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They blew past Bullard 42-14 on the road. Given Sanger's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Bullard is ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sanger can attribute much of their success to Bryson Baker, who gained 134 total yards and three touchdowns, and Israel Robles, who rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Robles was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Young, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, San Joaquin Memorial took a serious blow against Justin Garza on Friday, falling 38-10. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

As for San Joaquin Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Sanger has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 373.7 total yards per game. It's a different story for San Joaquin Memorial, though, as they've been averaging only 229.3 per game. Will Sanger be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will San Joaquin Memorial flip the ?
Sanger took a serious blow against San Joaquin Memorial when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 56-21. Thankfully for Sanger, Brandon Ramirez (who rushed for 218 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
