The Richton Rebels will challenge the Sacred Heart Crusaders at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
Last Thursday, Richton came up short against Mize  and fell  7-2. The Rebels have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart got the win against East Marion  on Thursday by a conclusive  12-2. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won ten contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kensie Baugh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Baugh was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI and one  run. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Merci Garner was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Caroline Sellers, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Sacred Heart has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Richton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Friday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Richton has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .463. However, it's not like Sacred Heart struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .498. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
