Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Normal University walked away with it. They came out on top against the Bloomington Purple Raiders by a score of  2-0  on Thursday. The  win was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on 25 straight.
 The  2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Normal University was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12,  25-10.
 Laney Snow paced Normal University's offense, picking up eight kills. Snow got some help from  Morgan Petelin and her 16 assists.  Ava Crabtree and  Emma Jean Lehnen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Normal University's victory bumped their record up to 33-4. As for Bloomington, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-23 record  this season.
As of now, neither Normal University nor Bloomington have any future games scheduled.
