Northeast Guilford scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Western Guilford Hornets. The Rams' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anaya Pearley, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Pearley is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jt Tatum was another key player, putting up 19 points and three steals.

Western Guilford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jainya Williams, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Leila Henderson, who posted 15 points.

Northeast Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Western Guilford, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Northeast Guilford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-41 loss against Williams on the 18th. Western Guilford and Oak Grove will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th.
