Tohatchi extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 1 this week by beating Newcomb, 60-26. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Cougars.
Ramah's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyrell Morgan threw for 145 and three touchdowns and Daniel Barton had 49 yards receiving. On the ground Tyrell Daniels chipped in 28 yards. Daniels helped Ramah's passing attack out by catching two balls for 32 yards.
Ramah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Morgan has thrown for 845 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Matthew Barton has 18 catches for 290 yards. Daniels leads the league in rushing with 355 yards.
Tohatchi made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 14,222 from 14,482. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 60-26 victory over the Sky Hawks last week.
