Basketball Recap: Chapelgate Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Friendship Collegiate Academy last Saturday, Chapelgate Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets took a blow against the Annapolis Area Christian Eagles on Friday, falling 75-46. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Defeat or not, Chapelgate Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Bryson Milledge and Landen Custis. Milledge posted 12 points and four steals, while Custis scored 11 points and six rebounds. That's the most steals Milledge has posted since back in November of 2024. Mason Plater was another key player, putting up five points and eight boards.

Chapelgate Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Annapolis Area Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Chapelgate Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 94-63 loss against Harrisonburg HomeSchool on the 25th. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Paul's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
