The Mesivta Mustangs's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Kohelet Yeshiva out 47-44. For Mesivta, this counts as revenge for the 65-41 loss Kohelet Yeshiva walked away with the last time they faced one another two weeks ago.
Kohelet Yeshiva's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asher Kahlon, who scored 17 points. The game was Kahlon's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Benjamini, who scored 14 points.
Mesivta's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesivta's road trip will continue as they head out to face Girard College at 2:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, they will challenge Kushner Yeshiva at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
