Victor has gone 8-2 against Penfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Victor has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Victor lost 14-6 to Bishop Kearney on Tuesday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Delaney Pettee and Kendra Santillo did some serious damage despite the final result: Pettee went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Santillo went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Mackenzie Visingard also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Penfield waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Stepanie Coughlin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Whitehead, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Penfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.
Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Penfield, their record is now 8-2.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Victor hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Penfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .460. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Victor might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from Penfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
