Meanwhile, Pinewood Prep scored the most goals they've had all season to find success on Monday. They never let Charleston Collegiate onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Pinewood Prep with their most commanding win of the season.
Stratford's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4-1. As for Pinewood Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3-2.
Stratford beat Pinewood Prep by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2015, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stratford since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
