Chenango Valley has gone 9-1 against Owego Free Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the River Hawks at 4:30 p.m. Chenango Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Chenango Valley will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Windsor Central, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Black Knights on Monday. Considering the Warriors have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Colsten Beers was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Beers is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Paske, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Chenango Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windsor Central only posted an OBP of .382.
Owego Free Academy came out on top against Waverly on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The River Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Wolverines.
Carsten Crawford made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Crawford was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Geneva Crawford, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Miley Laubach, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Chenango Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Owego Free Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Chenango Valley skirted past Owego Free Academy 5-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the River Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
