Wheatmore had a senior duo take command as Weston Driggers dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards and Parker Kines went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Those 15 boards set a new season-high mark for Driggers. The team also got some help courtesy of Truman Auman, who had five points and six rebounds.
Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Wheatmore, their record now sits at 8-10.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Uwharrie Charter Academy the next time they take the court. Wheatmore will head out to face Uwharrie Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Trinity will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
