The Calvary Lutheran Lions were the 54-48 winner over the St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Calvary Lutheran might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 55-33 to St. Louis HomeSchool P, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Calvary Lutheran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
St. Louis HomeSchool P got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was AJ Stanley, Jr. out in front who scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Stanley, Jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tremayne Jackson, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Calvary Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.
Calvary Lutheran has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Jamestown at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. St. Louis HomeSchool P will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. St. Louis HomeSchool P has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 436 points over their last seven matchups.
