After a string of four wins, Rauner's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pritzker Jaguars. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Rauner was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23.

Rauner's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pritzker, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Rauner will head out on the road to take on Muchin College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Mountain Lions have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pritzker, they will challenge North Grand at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
