Basketball Recap: Ashlyn Kraus Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Legacy Charter won the last time they faced Orangewood Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Legacy Charter Eagles blew past the Orangewood Christian Rams 34-13. The Eagles pushed the score to 32-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

Legacy Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlyn Kraus led the charge by putting up 12 points and three steals. Kraus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Joi Medley was another key player, posting six points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Legacy Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Legacy Charter and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Orangewood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Legacy Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-9 win against Lake Mary Prep on the 12th. As for Orangewood Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-19 defeat against Tohopekaliga on the 12th.
