The Troy Trojans lost against the Stebbins Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Troy had to suffer through a rough 50-19 loss at the hands of the Indians. Troy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.
Despite the defeat, Troy saw an underclassman step up: Carmen Brooks scored four points along with two steals.
Troy dropped their record down to 6-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.8 points per game. As for Stebbins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will square off against the Pirates at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Stebbins, they will head out on the road to face off against the Buccaneers at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Alaiya Meaux and Aubrey Fritz.
