The Fredonia Lynx won the last time they faced the Grand Canyon Phantoms, and things went their way on Friday too. Fredonia came out on top against Grand Canyon by a score of 32-21.
Despite the defeat, Grand Canyon had strong showings from Jaemie Jensen, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Jordyn Wadsworth, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and three blocks. Jensen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Fredonia's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Grand Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fredonia will face off against Williams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Williams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Grand Canyon, they will head out on the road to challenge El Capitan/Centennial Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. El Capitan/Centennial Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
