The Walled Lake Western Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Kettering Captains at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walled Lake Western will be strutting in after a victory while Kettering will be coming in after a defeat.
Walled Lake Western had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Seaholm.
Meanwhile, Kettering couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holly on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Kettering got a solid performance out of Nathan Bisnett, who scored 23 points. Diego Rocha was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Walled Lake Western's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kettering, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Walled Lake Western beat Kettering 47-40 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walled Lake Western since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
