The Dominion Academy Sabers lost against Varsity Opponent back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Dominion Academy took a serious blow against Varsity Opponent, falling 64-32. Dominion Academy was down 43-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Jayden Striebich and Elijah Heerdt certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Striebich scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Heerdt scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Heerdt is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played.
Dominion Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 304-1149-2.
Dominion Academy will play host again and welcome Calvary Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Calvary Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.5 points per game. Varsity Opponent on the road again on Tuesday and play against Oak Park Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
