Frazier has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Fort Cherry Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Monday, Frazier strolled past Bentworth with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. Frazier pushed the score to 50-29 by the end of the third, a deficit Bentworth cut but never quite recovered from.
Frazier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brock Alekson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Alekson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Dailan Mcmanus was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Fort Cherry came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Bentworth 77-51. Fort Cherry has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.
Frazier's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fort Cherry, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Frazier was dealt a bruising 69-41 loss at the hands of Fort Cherry in their previous matchup on January 2nd. Can Frazier avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
