The Richardson Eagles typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Lake Highlands Wildcats proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 52-47 W over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lake Highlands.
Despite the loss, Richardson still got an impressive performance from Ciera Hanks, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Hanks continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Tristan Aldridge was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lake Highlands' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Richardson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Highlands will square off against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. MacArthur will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 981st, while Lake Highlands is ranked 201st). As for Richardson, they will head out on the road to take on Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nimitz is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
