Carlisle has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Oakwood Lumberjacks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Carlisle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to Franklin.
Meanwhile, even though Urbana scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, Oakwood still came out on top. Oakwood snuck past Urbana with a 68-64 victory. 68 seems to be a good number for Oakwood as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Carlisle's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Oakwood, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Carlisle beat Oakwood 62-55 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
