The St. Francis Christian Patriots and the Faith Christian Academy Knights will face off at 4:40 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Francis Christian is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
St. Francis Christian put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season back in December of 2023. They breezed by Chisago Lakes Baptist on the road to the tune of 74-33. St. Francis Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
St. Francis Christian can attribute much of their success to Kovii Boldt, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals. Boldt is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Brower, who scored two points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Faith Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Maranatha Christian Academy by a score of 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Faith Christian Academy has suffered yet this season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from John Schleeter, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Josiah Dull was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
St. Francis Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Faith Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
St. Francis Christian strolled past Faith Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2018 by a score of 51-34. Does St. Francis Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Faith Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
