The Nitro Wildcats will be playing at home against the Logan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Logan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Nitro, who comes in off a win.
On Saturday, Nitro faced Philip Barbour in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Nitro's way against Philip Barbour as Nitro made off with a 81-59 victory. Nitro has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.
Nitro can attribute much of their success to Karson Jones, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Natalie Smith, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Mika Adams was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Logan suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Wayne on the road and fell 68-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Logan has scored all season.
Nitro's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
