When it comes to explaining why Gholson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hudson Thomas. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points.
Gholson bumped their record down to 6-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Cranfills Gap, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gholson will take on Mount Calm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cranfills Gap, they will head out on the road to challenge Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
