Meanwhile, East Montgomery were able to grind out a solid win over North Moore last Friday, winning 34-20.
East Montgomery's victory lifted them to 1-2 while West Montgomery's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. In their victory, East Montgomery relied heavily on junior Jayshon Moore, who rushed for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns; a key strategy for West Montgomery will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
