Make it six blowout wins for the Animo Watts Warriors this season. Everything went their way against Simon Tech on Tuesday as Animo Watts made off with a 72-46 win. The win was just what Animo Watts needed coming off of a 71-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Animo Watts' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Em, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Em also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jahari Fisher, who scored ten points along with seven steals.
Despite the loss, Simon Tech still got an impressive performance from Karlos Hodgson, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 63% of Simon Tech's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Daniel Garcia was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Animo Watts pushed their record up to 7-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Simon Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
Animo Watts will head out on the road to face off against WISH Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Simon Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against TEACH Tech Charter at 12:00 p.m. on January 24th. TEACH Tech Charter is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
