Elyria's match on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They put the hurt on the Avon Lake Shoremen with a sharp 77-56 victory. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elyria to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Crutcher, who went 10 for 22 en route to 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Crutcher has posted since back in December of 2024. Cam Bell was another key player, going 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points and eight boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elyria will head out to take on Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Steele knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matches -- so hopefully Elyria likes a good challenge. As for Avon Lake, they are taking a road trip to challenge Olmsted Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Avon Lake has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three contests.
