The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets will head out to challenge the Bunn Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roanoke Rapids will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Roanoke Rapids is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Nash Central on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. Considering the Yellowjackets have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Carson Duncan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Bunn had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Firebirds.
Roanoke Rapids pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Bunn, their record now sits at 21-2.
Roanoke Rapids suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Bunn in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
