It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but William Penn ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Caravel Academy Buccaneers 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Colonials as they're now sitting on three straight.

William Penn's record now sits at 5-2. As for Caravel Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

William Penn will head out on the road to square off against Newark Charter School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Colonials' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Caravel Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
