Gavin Heideman and Sean Mettler were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Heideman didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Mettler tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave Heideman a new career-high. At bat, Heideman went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Mettler went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Royalton-Hartland is undefeated when Mettler posts three or more hits, but 3-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, RJ Townsend was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Royalton-Hartland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Albion's offense. They came up short against Medina on Friday, falling 19-0. The Purple Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Royalton-Hartland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Albion struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Royalton-Hartland took their win against Albion in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-4 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Purple Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
