If Prairiland were expecting to get some payback for the 22-54 defeat against Leonard the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Prairiland fell just short of Leonard by a score of 26-28. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
The loss dropped Prairiland's record to 1-5. Finally capturing their first win of the season, Leonard advanced to 1-5.
Next week Prairiland take on Bells at 7:30 PM. Bells enter the matchup touting a three-game streak of increasing point totals. As for Leonard, they will face off against Chisum. Unlike Leonard, Chisum will be limping in after taking a loss.
