Pacific Collegiate fought the good fight in their overtime game against Soledad on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Soledad Aztecs. One positive for the Pumas, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Pablo Morales Iv, who posted 29 points and four steals for Soledad. The matchup was Morales Iv's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anikan Tavarez, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Pacific Collegiate is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Soledad, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Pacific Collegiate will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. St. Francis will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Pacific Collegiate surely won't give up without a fight. As for Soledad, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-34 victory against King City on the 16th.
