On Friday, Malden Catholic were out to avenge their 6-24 defeat to Masconomet Regional from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Malden Catholic found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-27 punch to the gut against Masconomet Regional. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Malden Catholic.
The loss dropped Malden Catholic's record to 0-2. The win got Masconomet Regional back to even at 1-1.
Malden Catholic are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Lynn English next week at Manning Field at 7:30 PM. As for Masconomet Regional, they will face off against Newburyport.
