Despite the defeat, Greenacres Christian had strong showings from David Mine, who scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds, and Joshua Barthelamy , who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Barthelamy scored a full 32.8% of Greenacres Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Antoine, who scored 7 points along with 7 assists.
Somerset College Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Terrance Dickson out in front who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Jayvis Chitolie, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The last time Greenacres Christian won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenacres Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oxbridge Academy at 5:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Oxbridge Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Morningside Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
