The St. Regis Falls Saints's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Morristown Central Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, St. Regis Falls lost to St. Lawrence Central on the road by a decisive 66-49 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Regis Falls in their matchups with St. Lawrence Central: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Morristown Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Lisbon Central, falling 57-29. While losing is never fun, Morristown Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while Lisbon Central is ranked 266th).
St. Regis Falls' loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Morristown Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Things could have been worse for St. Regis Falls, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-32 loss to Morristown Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2015. Can St. Regis Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
