The St. Mary's Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 84-55 victory over Tokay at home. Given St. Mary's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Tokay is ranked 745th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dominic Glero was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 13 points along with five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Cayden Ward was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine assists.
The win makes it two in a row for St. Mary's and bumps their season record up to 15-4. As for Tokay, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lodi the next time they take the court. St. Mary's will head out to face Lodi at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Tokay will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
