Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Forest Hill

Forest Hill waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Santaluces Chiefs. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Chiefs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Blake Griffin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Griffin was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kevin Blas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Alex Seal was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Forest Hill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santaluces struck out seven times.

Forest Hill's record now sits at 10-6. As for Santaluces, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Forest Hill will welcome Leonard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Hill is facing Leonard at the right time seeing as Leonard is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Santaluces, they will take on Atlantic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Atlantic has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.36 runs per game on average), something Santaluces will no doubt try to take advantage of.
