The Adrian Maples will head out on the road to challenge the Tecumseh Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Adrian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
Adrian will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Monroe on Saturday. The Maples were the clear victors by a 17-10 margin over the Trojans. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Maples, who until this game were averaging 3.83 runs allowed.
Julius Robichaud made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joelden Griffin, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Parker, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Adrian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Tecumseh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Skyline.
Tecumseh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Palmer Ziemer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Bryce Radant also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Adrian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Tecumseh, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2.
Tecumseh's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Adrian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. It's a different story for Tecumseh, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Adrian's hitters?
Adrian came out on top in a nail-biter against Tecumseh in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Maples have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
